From August 23rd to 30th, 2025, the Municipality of Ferentillo (Province of Terni, Italy) hosted an international event as part of the CODIDE project, co-funded by the European Union under the CERV 2024 Citizens Town TT programme. The highlight of the initiative was the Twinning Fair, held on August 23rd and 24th, which brought together citizens, institutions and partner delegations from the twinned towns of Ferentillo and Sérignan-du-Comtat (France).
The project was coordinated by the Municipality of Ferentillo in partnership with the Municipality of Sérignan-du-Comtat, the AISTEL APS Association, Amici dei Gemellaggi and the French Comité de Jumelage. The entire planning, logistics and implementation of the event were managed by Wikievents S.r.l. and AISTEL APS, in collaboration with PFC Media, Video Lab Spoleto, Pro Loco di Ferentillo, and photographer Vladimiro Orsi.
CODIDE: inclusive entrepreneurship and agricultural identity at the core
The CODIDE project (short for "Cooperation and Diversity in European Districts") focused on inclusive youth and female entrepreneurship in three key traditional agricultural sectors: viticulture, olive growing and beekeeping.
Throughout the fair, a variety of cultural, educational and outreach activities were carried out, aimed at:
Promoting the excellence of local products and traditions in both territories;
Creating connections between small producers, young entrepreneurs and European institutions;
Encouraging exchanges, shared learning, and cross-border cooperation.
A week of events, with two central days
The programme took place over an entire week, from August 23rd to 30th, with a range of events including institutional meetings, workshops, company visits, and cultural gatherings.
The Twinning Fair, held on August 23rd and 24th in the historic centre of Ferentillo, represented the core of the initiative. Over the course of the two days, the Umbrian town hosted:
Exhibitor stands featuring local and French producers;
Guided tastings of wines, olive oils, and honey;
A photo exhibition by Vladimiro Orsi, dedicated to the people and landscapes of the two regions;
Institutional speeches and live musical performances;
Hands-on workshops and educational activities for youth.
Wikievents coordinated all phases of the event, from technical planning and venue setup, to managing the international guests and the digital promotion campaign. The media coverage was supported by PFC Media, while Video Lab Spoleto handled all video production.

A meeting point between tradition and innovation
The success of the event confirmed the strength of the long-standing twinning relationship between Ferentillo and Sérignan-du-Comtat, now further enriched through shared European projects and future-oriented cooperation.
The CODIDE project stood out as a virtuous model of citizen-focused Europe, where values such as inclusion, sustainability and partnership are transformed into tangible growth opportunities.
Crucially, the initiative drew attention to often overlooked themes such as:
the role of women in agriculture;
the importance of retaining youth in rural areas;
and the need to pass down knowledge and skills through direct exchange between different – but connected – communities.
The role of Wikievents
Wikievents was proud to oversee the complete organisation of the event, carefully managing every detail — from local logistics to welcoming the French delegation, from setting up the exhibition spaces to producing all multimedia content. Once again, our team proved its capability to successfully deliver international events, offering concrete support to public administrations, third-sector organisations, and major European projects. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Municipality of Ferentillo for the trust, to the French partners for their collaboration, and to all participants who made the Twinning Fair a true celebration of cultural dialogue.
